Forests & Landscapes
The forest has always held an important place in my heart. As a child, when money was tight, a day in the forest climbing trees and exploring streams with my brothers and sisters, was the best that life could offer. My parents instilled in me a great love of the outdoors. It is always to the forest that I return when I need peace and quiet to refresh my mind. It is only in some very rare special places of the world that you can truly feel life raising up all around you and the great forests are still amongst those places. It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to paint them. I strive to capture the soft light that radiants with energy.
The West Coast Collection
Having spent her childhood on the beautifully rugged west coast of Wales, Bonnie has always been drawn to the sea.
"Those early days, fishing with my father, watching the weather roll in to shore are imprinted on my memory, I need only close my eyes to remember the smell of the salt and to hear the wind".
Extensive travel has allowed Bonnie to explore the coasts of Europe, North Africa, Ireland and North America, all areas that are now represented in her paintings. However a region of especial interest is the West Coast of America, British Columbia and Vancouver Island.
Body & Soul
As an artist Bonnie rarely paints the human figure or anything man-made,however on the occasions that she does the results are superb. Often classical in inspiration, Bonnie’s nudes melt like ice cream,they shimmer from the canvas surface.
